We are all experiencing the social and business impact of Covid-19 and are engaged in meeting the very significant challenges to health and business continuity arising as a result. As a Customer we recognise your dependence on Aspera services for ERP system support and development during the current crisis. We are committed to ensuring that your ERP system continues to support your business, working safely in line with government guidelines to protect the health of all our employees.
Aspera policies and guidelines to mitigate the effects of Covid-19 are as follows:
- Aspera offices in UK and Ireland remain open and we are fully operational.
- We monitor government guidelines on a daily basis and are committed to fully implementing the advice published by the NHS in UK and HSE in Ireland.
- We are adapting our work practices so that they align with published guidelines for social distancing, home-working and travel.
- The majority of Aspera staff are working from home.
- Our communications systems fully support home and remote working and are operational.
- Staff travel is restricted to travel necessary for work, in conformance with published government advisories, and as determined by Customer requirements.
Aspera Support Services are critical for maintaining customer ERP system availability and business continuity and are fully operational. Our experienced Support Teams in UK and Ireland, working seamlessly from office or home, continue to meet all support service level commitments, backed by expertise and comprehensive systems including web-enabled Helpdesk, website/Customer Portal, VOIP, MS Teams, GotoMeeting, VPN, etc.
Aspera Consulting provides ERP implementation and development services on-site and remotely, implementing new systems and enhancing live systems to improve customer business processes. Where consultant travel to site is necessary, we observe government travel advisories and customer guidelines and instructions at all times. We apply social distancing and hygiene protocols per published guidelines in UK and Ireland. In the current circumstances, we recognise customers may wish to restrict site access. We fully respect this, and our policy in respect of our own staff is to shift consulting activity from on-site to remote working where possible.
The bulk of ERP implementation activity generally falls to customer staff, under the guidance of Aspera Consulting. Most consulting activities, including training, design, data migration, customisation, user acceptance testing, etc., can be delivered effectively on-line through remote working. The current times may also create opportunity for management and key users to focus on internal business process improvement and related ERP system development.
There is no need to experience interruption of any ERP implementation or improvement activity that may be planned. We have developed a number of strategies to enable customers to continue to develop ERP effectively through remote working with Aspera consultants and we will be in contact in the coming weeks to progress this.
Business Continuity Plan
We are currently adapting our Business Continuity Plan in order to mitigate any impact of Covid-19 on the delivery of services to Customers. We will publish this shortly and will update you in due course.
